Fun fact abt me: I have finite patience .
After remaining baned for almost a week ( why...idk) I got unbanned like a week ago.
I tried joining rn and apparently smth abt my ip address was in sm public blacklist.
EXPLAIN.
Is it smth I did (cuz then idc) orrrr is my ip address blacklisted for no fault of mine? (Cuz I am getting soooo pissed off).

I feel like I am spending more time chatting and on the forums than actually why I bother coming to ifc nowadays.
(Cries hysterically)

Oh wow that sounds so frustrating. Especially after finally getting unbanned and thinking things were back to normal, only to get hit with an IP blacklist message? Totally understandable that you’re losing patience.

Here’s what’s likely going on:
It’s probablt not ur fault for sure>
Public IP blacklists are shared lists that some websites and forums use to automatically block traffic from suspicious or spam-related IP addresses. Sometimes, ur IP can end up on one of these lists even if u didn't do anything wrong for expample, if

  • Someone else using the same network (like in a dorm, cafe, or shared Wi-Fi) did something spammy.
  • Your internet provider recycled an IP address that used to belong to someone who triggered the blacklist.
  • A firewall or anti-spam filter flagged your IP by mistake.

In short: it’s usually a network-lvl issue, not a "u" issue

If it keeps happening, try:

  1. Restarting ur router (this can change your IP if you’re on a dynamic one).
  2. Conatct the mods/admins explain that your IP was flagged unfairly, and they can whitelist you manually.
  3. the easiest option is to clear ur browser history switch off ur phone and use mobile date coz after switching off ur mobile phone ur ip changes or use brave browser

And yeah… it’s totally valid to feel fed up. Spending more time dealing with bans and tech issues than actually enjoying the community is exhausting.

That's a pretty detailed answer.

Also, if the network is slow or has some problem, and we are getting disconnected multiple times in the chatroom, then the system flags the IP as a scam.
