Once I yapped, a voice so loud,
Lost in the laughter, in every crowd.
But time has a way, so swift, so wise,
Of changing the echoes, the lows, the highs.
Old friends faded, vanished like mist,
Judgments cast that I couldn't resist.
I took the blame for just being me,
In the eyes of others, no clarity.
Hurt once deep, I let it stay,
Tore at my soul, day by day.
But now I stand, no more to plead,
No more to explain, no more to bleed.
I’ve learned to observe, to quietly see,
To love from afar, but never to be.
Silence is golden, it speaks so clear,
I choose peace over the noise, over fear.
Still, I adore those who truly care,
Their love is a gift, beyond compare.
And though the world might judge and sway,
I walk my path in my own way.
