There is a way to quit any kind of addiction
First understand that if you try to suppress any emotion completely on the first day then you might fail because there are high chances of failing

Maybe it sound weird but you don't have to quit smoking from the first day, first you have to work on the numbers you're smoking daily

Set a goal that 2-3 cigarettes not more than that on the first day
Then repeat it again tomorrow and after that for 5-6 days until you get used to 2-3 cigrettes insted of 7-8 or even more in a single day

When you feel like you're now into the 2-3 zone then in the next step reduce that too, come down to 1-2 cigarettes a day and repeat the same

Then come down to 1 cigrette a day

And then try to leave it permanently there are high chances you'll succeed

Cuz if you have to understand this, it's the craving for cigarettes which is driving you everytime to smoke insane amounts in a day so work on that craving first, reduce it step by step

Completely cutting off or trying to completely supress the cravings on the first day is clearly not working with you so it's a bad way to begin

Even if you manage to quit it and it's been 1-2 or 3 weeks without smoking, a sudden craving comes back you have to fight that too, when that happens then you don't even have to pick even a one , try to suppress it

Make the process of smoking difficult like don't buy the packets, don't make it available in your home

And at the end, everything requires will power, you can do all the things with that
Have some Will power and i hope you'll be able to quit it

Lets do the limit thing. Like 4 cigs a day for this week.

And then 1 a day next week.

lets see if that plays well.

yeah, remember patience and will power is the game
you need patience to calmy execute the plan and will power to resist
even you can go like 4 this week next week 2 then after that next week 1 and then try to not have any
